Coffee, Explained Until It’s Enjoyed
I kept these because I noticed how the descriptions eventually stopped trying to name every flavor and started just telling the truth.
4 catches
The cup as tasting note
The first cup asks to be read almost like fruit: “single origin Colombian coffee, notes of soft peach, apricot, sparkling lemon” [1]. That precision sets up the question the later cups answer: does remembering coffee require naming every note?

Dublin at Bewleys, single origin Colombian coffee, notes of soft peach, apricot, sparkling lemon
Then the words fall away
i enjoy drinking coffee but i am not convinced on the reason, it could be clearing the thoughts, it might be talking to someone with breaks, it can be just tasteful. Not sure but a great ceremony.
A dark cup on a floral patterned saucer lets the image do the remembering [2]. The next catch is almost dictionary-flat: “A reference to a cappuccino, a coffee drink prepared with espresso and steamed milk foam.” [3] Then comes the rough, lived-in verdict: “Turkish Coffee with Chocolate nice drinking coffee” [4].
[2]
Xanadu, Belek a cup of dark coffee on a floral patterned saucer, btw this is a classical Turkish cup, if you are seeing your Turkish coffee served with that you are at a good hand.
[3]
Palmerstown coffee drink prepared with espresso .
[4]
Turkish Coffee with Chocolate nice drinking coffee
What stayed was not the most polished phrase. It was the plain pleasure of “nice drinking coffee”, enough language for a cup that did its job.
Keep drinking. :)
