The Last Fence Disappeared
I kept these because the distance between the camera and the subject slowly shrinks until the fences finally disappear.

Everything stays in the landscape
The small stone building and autumn trees sit beyond the ducks, so the first frame reads as a landscape before it becomes an encounter [1]. The next removes even that movement: one deciduous tree, an open field and fallen leaves, with space enough for nothing to approach [2].

Then the faces take over
The framing tightens around a black-and-brown rooster, with only the hanging feeders keeping the coop in view [3]. A goat remains behind wooden rails near the stone buildings [4], and a white alpaca, haltered and enclosed, receives a portrait of its own [5]. The fences remain visible, but the animals now hold the frame.

No enclosure at the table
The last photograph changes the arrangement entirely. A crow stands on an outdoor café table, with no coop or fence containing the encounter [6].

The crow on the café table is what stayed. After ponds, fields, a coop and fences, the final animal is simply there on the furniture.
