An addressable library under your name, open to humans and agents. Throw in screenshots, photos, links and thoughts. Each thing you keep comes back usable, with an address to find it again or share it, and you can make pages from what you keep. People and AI assistants can read what you make public without an account. Assistants you connect and people you invite can read, add and edit only what you allow.
It is kept at once, privately. Seconds later it comes back with a title, one line, and the useful bits: dates, places, prices, phone numbers and codes. If the title is wrong, choose Not quite, fix it.
Throwing, keeping, finding, sharing and reading are free, with 10 GB of room. Alchemist, $7.99 a month billed yearly: 100 GB of room, higher allowances for connected assistants and the API, and priority when the servers are busy. Two-character names are $199 a year and three-character names are $49 a year. Four letters or more are free, forever.
Yes. Every throw starts Private. You choose what becomes Link only or Public, one thing at a time; your library is never made public all at once.
Every catch and page has its own address, such as map.name/you.0k6zq. Say the code, paste the address, or print its QR code. Connected assistants can use the code alone, within what you allow.
Yes. Choose Link only · anyone with the link key. The person you give the link to can read that thing without an account; your other catches stay private. Rotate the key and old links stop working.
Yes, at you@map.name or inside map.name. Only senders you approve get through, and you can reply to someone who has written to you first. Mail is temporary by default and expires after thirty days unless you keep it; map.name does not send mail on its own.
Select catches and choose Make a page. Arrange what belongs, add your own words, and share when it is ready. The page has its own address and stays private until you choose otherwise; the original catches and your notes stay in your library.
Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or a coding tool at https://map.name/mcp. With a key you make or by signing in, access stays within what you allow; an app that signs in throws only into your own library. An assistant can find, read, add and edit only what you allow, using a code such as 0k6zq; sessions can keep a plan current and reply to your comments at the same address. Yes. One click exports your library as JSON, with your catches, pages and notes kept word for word. Export is free.
Type what you remember: a word, a place, a day, or the code. Search looks through catches and pages by meaning as well as words, and says when nothing fits. You can also browse by place, date or source.
Screenshots, photos, links, thoughts, mail and files. Use your phone’s share sheet, the web, email, a connected assistant, the API, or import what you already kept elsewhere.
Yes. In your account menu, choose Change your address. You can change once every six months; your old address keeps pointing to the new one, so the addresses you have shared keep working.
Choose Delete account from your account page. It removes your catches, media and everything derived from them, not just your login. Encrypted backups expire on their own schedule afterwards.
